As the sun was setting in Temecula, Joel and I headed off to South Coast Winery to pick up a special wine for Thanksgiving. We sampled a couple of merlots and a reserve Chardonnay, and chose a lovely Syrah to bring with us to Modesto. Our favorite is their port. We sat on the back balcony overlooking the vineyards, sipping our port and savoring the moment. It was a perfect beginning to the Thanksgiving holiday!
