A Christmas Extravaganza

Joel and I had the delightful opportunity to experience Covenant College's Madrigal Christmas Feaste. What an evening! Three hours of pageantry, beautiful madrigal music, and course upon course of Elizabethan-inspired fare. We had been invited by a dear couple from church, and we had a lot of fun with everyone at our table. The Hightowers brought adorable little Hayes, who was fascinated by all of the music and activity. What a great kick-off to the holiday season!

At the Mall

Who knew what fun was to be had at the mall! Lily loved the bunnies in the pet store, and had great fun with the three-way mirror. Exciting times!

Off to the Gallery

Lily and I had a few extra minutes before meeting Joel and our friend June for lunch, so we headed over to the River Gallery to look at the beautiful paintings, sculptures, and other art. It was the perfect little outing!

Something new...

This morning during Lily's nap, I painted something for our dining room. I love working in this larger scale...the painting is 30x40.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a lovely day celebrating Thanksgiving! We began the day with a wonderful Thanksgiving service with the dear people of First Pres...what an encouraging time. We love those folks. Then we had a low-key afternoon of family and football, culminating in a thanksgiving feast with Mom and Dad Treick. I'd say Lily's first Thanksgiving was a success!

A Great Surprise!

My friend Liz (Hunt) Young surprised us last week with three boxes of hand-me-down clothes for Lily! What a blessing. Lily is now set for the winter and beyond. Here are a few shots of her playing with her new treasure! :)

Saturday

Joel headed off to the UT game with some folks from church. Meanwhile, Lily experienced the fun of playing with her Exersaucer while standing next to it! Such a big girl!

The Apple Orchard

Today we headed off to Signal Mountain to seek out an apple orchard our friends love. We found the little country store and got some mulling spices and apple salsa. (Never had that before.) The leaves were beautiful, and we had a gorgeous drive. Fun family time!
