On Saturday, mom, dad and I took a little trip up to San Juan Capistrano for a tour of the mission. It is one of the oldest churches in California, and one of the few still standing where Father Serra actually performed the Mass. It was a glorious day for a drive, and when we got there we learned that we had come on the Festival Weekend welcoming the return of the swallows to San Juan Capistrano! Live music, beautiful flowers...what fun!
